Here is your itinerary for the day:
- Departure: We will start the tour in the morning, meeting at the designated meeting point in Gjirokastër. From there, we will take a 4x4 air-conditioned vehicle to Antigone.
- Antigone: Antigone is a picturesque mountain village located in the southern part of Albania. It is famous for its beautiful scenery, rich history, and cultural heritage. We will spend some time exploring this beautiful village, where you can see traditional houses, visit local shops and meet the friendly locals.
- Hiking and cultural exploration: After exploring Antigone, we will start our 5-hour hiking journey towards Stegopul. The trail passes through the beautiful mountainous landscape, allowing you to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the area. Along the way, we will visit the church and monastery, where our knowledgeable guide will provide you with information about the history and cultural significance of the site.
- Traditional lunch: After the hike, we will enjoy a delicious traditional Albanian lunch in a local restaurant. Here, you can taste some of the local specialties and enjoy the warm hospitality of the Albanian people.
- Off-road adventure: After lunch, we will embark on an exciting off-road drive from Labove to Gjirokaster through a river. This part of the tour is an exhilarating adventure that offers a thrilling and exciting experience. Our experienced driver will ensure your safety, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Albanian countryside.
- Difficulty: The hike from Antigone to Labove is of medium difficulty level, so it's important to wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water and snacks. Our guide will provide you with the necessary guidance and support throughout the hike. Return: We will then return to Gjirokaster where the tour will end. You can take some time to explore the historic city of Gjirokaster on your own before heading back to your accommodation.
